I got a chance to watch this film a few weeks ago and I loved every second of it. It’s definitely one for the girls and lets just say it really makes you think about our roles as women.

Not Coming To A Cinema Near You: Nas – Time Is Illmatic

This is one music documentary I can’t wait to see. It’s been getting a lot of love at this year Cannes Film Festival and with sales group Submarine scooping it up I’m sure it won’t be long until we see it on our big screens.

The film follows the creation and release of Nas’ 1994 debut album, “Illmatic,” considered by many to be the most important and influential hip-hop record of all time.

A Perfect Sunday Movie: That Awkward Moment

I know the sun is shining across the UK today but if you fancy watching a film once the sun has gone down, this is it! That Awkward Moment isn’t your typical chick flick, if anything it’s aimed more towards the guys. It’s shows the male perspective of break-ups, playing the field and just general girl and gal problems. I learnt a few things after watching it.

That Awkward Moment  stars  and  who all do a brilliant job in this film!

New Images Of Superman Vs. Batman

Superman Vs. Batman will hit cinemas on April 29, 2016.

I’ve Been Away But Now I’m Back

Hi guys

I’m sorry that I’ve not been very active of late. I have been working in Africa over the last few weeks so my focus has been there.

I am back now though and ready to rock n roll! I’ve got so many exciting film projects coming up and will be getting you Movie Geeks fully involved. Make sure you watch this space.

Not Coming To A Cinema Near You: Fruitvale Station

By now it’s clear that everyone has heard of Fruitvale Station.  is literally on the cover of every magazine and the film has been getting a lot of love across the globe (except the UK).

If you follow Movie Geeks, you’ll know that I was pretty obsessed with this film after watching it at Sundance London last year. It won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award for U.S dramatic film at Sundance Film Festival 2013.

Directed by newcomer Ryan Coogler and starring Octavia Spencer and Fruitvale Station is a true story about Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old who crosses paths with friends, enemies and family members before he is shot dead by police on New Years Eve in 2008. This is the type of  film that we need see in the UK and I’m still baffled as to why no one has picked it up. Sad times.

GEEK FACT: The film was bought by The Weinstein Company for $2.5 million, two days after its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
